Abstract

Learning and research in teacher training in the field of nutrition and home economics: shaping the future
Linking learning and research in professional teacher training can strengthen research skills, reflective abilities and the connection between theory and practice. Especially if the research projects encompass sustainability aspects and education for sustainable development (ESD), professionalized teachers then take a key role as „change agents” in shaping the future. Practical examples are used to illustrate how teacher training can be developed in a future-oriented way.
