» Manuscript Submission
Submit your manuscript to the editorial board for one of the current or for the open calls for papers. Please also note the journal's author guidelines and the templates provided for submission.

» Review Process
After a thorough review, the editorial board reserves the right to decide whether a manuscript
a) is accepted for publication (possibly with necessary formal/editorial adjustments),
b) is returned for revision (with appropriate comments) and resubmission,
c) meets the profile of the journal and must otherwise be rejected.

» Peer Review Process
Contributions for the main topics and the open-topic section undergo a formalized review process:
Submitted contributions are reviewed in a peer review process (single-blind) by two experts who are asked to review them using a standardized review form. As a rule, the review process is completed within a period of up to one month; a longer review period is possible in individual cases. Recommendations for revision resulting from the review are the rule rather than the exception. Authors are informed of the decision on acceptance or of any revision requests derived from the review process, as well as the expected date of publication, after the reviews have been completed. The contributions are marked in the journal.

» Open Access & Open Express
HiBiFo is published with a 24-month embargo period. Every issue will be provided for Open Access 24 months after the date of publication. An overview of current issues and contributions in Open Access can be found here. With our Open Express offer, we offer you to release your contribution for Open Access before the 24-month embargo period expires. You can find more information here.
